Post 26: Hamlet again.
I believe hamlet is a modern hero because he doesn't have any extraordinary powers. In ancient greek mythology the hero is usually able to fly, use lightning, or what have you. Hamlet on the other hand is a mortal man who is faced with the same struggles as us today. Besides seeing ghosts of course. Also Hamlet died at the end of his story without it being a huge deal. in Greek mythology however, If some one like Zeus died it would have been a big deal.

I agree, most of Hamlet's conflicts are internal ones and Hamlet himself is no legendary figure, quite different from the demigod and nigh-immortal ancient heroes. Well said.
